| Most Trix
track is 3-rail, with all rails insulated from each other. Track manufactured until
approximately 1956 is on a bakelite base. Later track is on a fibre base, with the sleepers visible. Post-war bakelite points are a neater design than pre-war, and require a quarter rail to complete the straight section. Very late Trix track (late 60s) was 2-rail. |
